This certification will allow you to showcase and acknowledge your abilities, expertise, and comprehension, as well as exhibit your proficiency in an actual work setting, enabling you to pursue a career as a skilled worker in the construction business.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, you will become eligible to apply for a Skilled Worker (Blue) CSCS card.

For whom is this qualification intended?
Those employed in the construction business can earn this certificate, which assesses their competency. The NVQ serves as evidence of your proficiency and expertise in your present position or profession. Attaining this certification offers a candidate tangible evidence of their proficiency in the trade.

The qualification is awarded by the ProQual Awarding Body, and its regulation is overseen by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).

Candidates have the option to pursue one of four pathways that are directly relevant to their employment roles:

Option 1: This certification is for those who have achieved a Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Interior Systems, specifically in the area of ceiling fixing.
Option 2: Attain a Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Interior Systems, specifically focusing on Dry Lining Finishing.
Option 3: This programme offers a Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Interior Systems, specifically focusing on Dry Lining Boarder skills.
Option 4: Attain a Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Interior Systems with a specialisation in Cavity Barrier Installation.
The structure of qualifications
In order to get the qualification, applicants must successfully complete the three compulsory units that are applicable to all of the Pathways, as well as the obligatory unit(s) that are specific to one of the Pathways.

Adhering to the overall standards of health, safety, and well-being in the workplace
Adhering to efficient work methods in the professional environment
Managing the transportation, manipulation, and storage of resources within the work environment

Pathway 1: Implementation of suspended ceiling systems in the workplace

Pathway 2: Completing the installation of plasterboard on walls and ceilings in the workplace

Unit Endorsements:

Three of the following endorsements are necessary:
Finishes achieved by the use of tape and jointing techniques.
Determine the measurements of both the interior and exterior angles.
Primer/protective topcoat
Skim plaster finishes refer to the application of a thin layer of plaster to a surface in order to provide a smooth and even appearance.
Pathway 3: Workplace installation of plasterboard linings

Pathway 4: Involves the process of preparing and constructing protective barriers on both the floors and ceilings inside the workplace.

Prerequisites
This certification does not have any specific prerequisites. However, applicants must be employed in the sector to be eligible for enrollment in this NVQ.

At Brin Solutions, we are now doing an initial evaluation of candidates’ abilities and knowledge to pinpoint any deficiencies and facilitate the assessment planning process.

Assessment refers to the systematic evaluation of a candidate’s proficiency, expertise, and comprehension in relation to the established criteria outlined in the qualification.

This certification is based on competency, and applicants are required to show the level of competence outlined in the modules.

The qualification will be evaluated according to the Construction Skills Consolidated Assessment Strategy and will be internally examined by a suitably experienced and certified assessor.

Our e-portfolio system carries out the evaluation procedure, which consists of two components:

Competence: the applicants must complete a workbook.
Practical evidence may be gathered through on-site inspections.
